This assignment is a personal adaptation of the book “Sea prayer” by the same author of ‘The Kite Runner’, Khaled Hosseini. The text was printed out, handed to us, and a format was set.
I divided the story in threes: 3 nostalgic pages in which a father talks of his home, what it looked like before the war began. Then 3 pages on the war itself, leaving its scars on the landscape. Finally, I end in 3 pages, visualizing the family trying to flee overseas. The father feels guilty for putting his loved ones in danger, but sees no alternative. The ending is a left open plead, where the father prays to the sea for his son’s safety.
