This assignment is a personal adaptation of the book “Sea prayer” by the author of ‘The Kite Runner’, Khaled Hosseini. The text was printed out and a format was set.
I divided the story in threes: 3 pages for the nostalgic part, where the father talks about what his country looked like before the war. Then 3 pages on the war, leaving its scars on the landscape. Finally, I end in 3 pages where the family tries to flee overseas. The father feels guilty for putting his loved ones in danger, but feels there’s no alternative. The ending is a left open plead, where the father prays to the sea for his sons safety.
