Vain as it may seem, creating self portraits is a great way to really practice drawing people (without having your model complaining that it’s taking too long or that you drew her nose quite too big for example). Here are some of my portraits from the last few years, when my hair was longer and dyed a brilliantly bright red.
It’s also a good way to quickly test new styles&techniques,
color palettes, media, materials, etc. without breaking first your head over which subject to chose.
